The Groton Center is now offering delivery of Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry groceries to residents, removing a major transportation barrier for those facing food insecurity, town officials announced this week.
TOWN HALL
The Groton Center announced Thursday that it is now providing delivery of Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry groceries to residents who need them. Loaves and Fishes, located in Devens, offers a wide variety of grocery items for anyone facing food insecurity for any reason, and town officials said transportation has long been a major barrier keeping eligible residents from accessing the pantry's offerings. Residents interested in the new delivery service are encouraged to contact the Groton Center directly.
Separately, the Town Clerk's office will be closed Friday, July 17, 2026, and will resume normal business hours Monday, July 20. The town also continues to operate under a Level 3 Critical Drought Declaration, and residents are reminded that a real estate tax demand fee increase to $30, effective since May 1, remains in place for overdue tax and excise payments issued on or after that date.
COMING UP
The Town Clerk's office reopens for normal business hours on Monday, July 20, 2026, following its Friday, July 17 closure.
