Great Pond Advisory Committee · Meeting of January 22, 2026

GROTON — The Great Pond Advisory Committee approved October minutes and questioned its budget report. The panel voted 4-0 with one abstention on the minutes, then reviewed a budget sheet members called hard to read. A member said the balance remaining should be $12,385, and members could not explain roughly $6,000 more in the report.

The committee receives $2,385 a year for East Groton ponds, plus $10,000 for spot treatments, and the weed harvester budget includes $7,000 for maintenance and $15,000 for Bataccook harvesting. With no treasurer, a member agreed to keep an expense log. "I think we really need to have these itemized," a member said.
