GROTON — The Sustainability Commission voted 7-0 to endorse a CPC application for a Senior Center walking path. Members voted by roll call Friday on a motion from Bruce Easom, tying their support to a town warrant article. The request now totals $2,500 for a stone dust path about 95 feet long and four feet wide, after an irrigation system was removed from the original $2,200 application.
Members said they had not voted on the revised version, and Charlotte Weigel said she was uncomfortable having the commission's name on the article after changes she was not part of. A member asked to be kept informed of such changes at regular meetings, and another said the vote "cleaned up a loose end."
