Board of Health · Meeting of April 6, 2026

Groton's Board of Health approved a building permit for a fire-displaced family and tabled a landfill soil waiver. The board voted unanimously to approve permit B-2661 for 22 Mountain Lakes Trail after Attorney Collins clarified a 2009 deed restriction covering the home's three bedrooms, including one in an accessory apartment; the owner, Richard, said his family is "homeless right now" and living in a trailer. Separately, a project representative identified as Bob asked the board to waive its soil importation permit for capping the Hollingsworth and Bose landfill, citing PFAS and PAH thresholds he called "overkill," but board member Michelle said she was "not convinced that all topsoil in the town is PFAS contaminated" and the board declined to act, continuing the matter to May 4.

The board also approved February 2 minutes and signed invoices including $16,741.71 to Nashoba Associated Boards of Health. The town remains at drought level three, considered critical.
