Faye Rayner Resigns From Groton-Dunstable School Committee After Eight Years

GROTON — June 10, 2026 — Faye Rayner resigned from the Groton-Dunstable Regional School Committee after more than eight years of service, including seven years as chair, effective at the close of the June 10 meeting. Rayner cited a new job, aging parents, and a desire to be fully present for her sons' remaining school years, writing in her resignation letter that "the work is never finished" but that "these are the years I cannot get back." The committee responded with a formal proclamation crediting her with leading the Florence Roach Building Committee through a seven-year process that produced a new elementary school and steering the district through the COVID-19 pandemic.
